Le Confessionnal: Religious Pun!

To accurately gauge the prosperity of any given neighbourhood, one need only count the number of happy hours happening within a two or three block radius. Given this criteria, Old Montreal is definitely where the money is specifically, young money. Like Méchant Boeuf or Business, Le Confessionnal caters largely to an après work crowd with boisterous 5 à 7 soirées and a loud, bustling environment.

The menu is a mix of class and comfort food on the tapas tip (beef tenderloin, grilled cheese), while regular drink specials take the sting out of getting your party on (Wednesday is ladies’ night $6 Cosmos, bottle service, etc).

The music is loud and poppy, with DJs on most nights; Fridays are for classics, rock, reggae and old school, and Saturdays feature some guy called Evens Hill no idea what he plays, but he looks like The-Dream and is holding a turntable in his Facebook photo, so chances are he’s pretty awesome. If you hate music and sexy people, there are two plasma TVs on the wall behind the bar. Hopefully they stay turned off when the Habs aren’t playing.
