Two Frenchmen have been instrumental in shaping youth culture of late. While Christian Audigier is looking at an eternity in fashion purgatory (along with a legion of faux-hauk Ed Hardy douches), Pedro Winter and his Ed Banger label have already left an indelible stamp on house music.

Winter’s French Revolution – think Justice, Uffie, Mr Oizo – generated dance music that people not usually club-inclined really dug. As a DJ, Winter (a.k.a. Busy P) drops bangers deftly laced with hip-hop and rock elements. Just leave your rhinestone trucker hat at the door.
