B-Side: Off the Record

Oh, the snakiness of secret nooks and crannies of Montreal buildings. Since we are giving St-Lo the club love (and why not, because if you are clubbing, you’re probably on the Main) why not shout out B-Side, if for no other reason than it’s a great name. If the other club (which shall remain nameless) is the heavy rotation single, B-Side is its aptly named counterpart. It’s still jiggy, but less so in relationship with other spots within the two block radius that bring together a rag-tag mix of McGill students and nose candy aficionados. The ambiance is friendly enough and the wait staff is cordial. The bouncers are selective, but that should work in your favour. You won’t want to hang out here the whole night, but before or after your main event, stop by for a stiff drink, some social anthropological observations and a meander onto the terrace, which brings us back to the beginning of celebrating secret nooks and crannies. This is definitely the set for some silver medal earning potential (see Sextalk on page 62 for more details).
