Le Québec n'est pas en reste côté nominations avec Dallas Buyers Club réalisé par Jean-Marc Vallée qui a reçu au total six nominations. De plus, William Butler d'Arcade Fire est dans la course pour obtenir une statuette dorée grâce à sa contribution à la musique du film Her. Prisoners de Denis Villeneuve n'obtient qu'une seule nomination dans la catégorie Meilleure photographie.
