Critiques CD: Beachwood Sparks | The Tarnished Gold

Who would’ve thunk? What we have here is an unlikely return from an underground band of outer space cowboys who never truly got their due back when they disbanded ten tears ago. The Left Coast USA is home to these lovers of all things musical past – a druggy intersection of the ghost of Gram Parsons riding through  Laurel Canyon in his steel blue convertible with the radio dial tuned to AM gold slick hits. Picking up the torch where they last dropped it, Beachwood Sparks calmly blast their way through psychedelic country jams laced with golden lovers pop drops, hazy day melodies, bubbly harmonies and lite rock airbrushes. Welcome back boys. We missed ya.
