Igloofest 2011: The iceman danceth

There’s nothing hotter than dancing outside in -20C…seriously! If you haven’t bundled up and bustled down to Igloofest in the Old Port yet, you’re missing out on some of the best winter fun in the city. This year’s line-up is a disco inferno with enough heat to defrost even the most frigid booties. Detroit-raised, Berlin-based hottie Seth Troxler (who once worked alongside Theo Parrish and Terence Parker at a Detroit record store) kicks off the fun with his party-tastic mix of house and techno. Need I say more?

Two weeks later, Detroit returns to rock the rink in the form of techno legends Carl Craig and Stacey Pullen. Three long weekends of party-rocking beats, hot toddies and even hotter snow queens, Igloofest is a shot of warmth in the darkness of winter. Also donning their parkas this year are local heroes Akufen and Ghislain Poirier, and imported talents like Stanton Warriors, Ikonika and Anja Schneider.
