Critiques CD: Mim0sa | Silver Lining

Mim0sa reach back through dubstep to drum up the bass. Silver Lining almost makes me nostalgic for the mid ‘90s with this tasty little slab of old school, chill d&b, chock full of splendid samples that rewind and remix the era. Sometimes going backwards is the way forward. While ground may not have been broken on this outing by Mim0sa, beats and melodies have been pulled apart and rewoven into a fabric that’s as well suited for today as it was for the end of the millennium. Put it on, it’s got a lovely fit and big pockets full of bass.
