Eresys Collective: if you build it, they will come

You may not be familiar with the name, but you’ve probably come across one of the members of Eresys, a local electronic music collective that recently celebrated 4 years of bringing together DJs, VJs, promoters and the fine folk who swarm the city’s dance floors. Besides their current residency at Daomé and their DJ sets at the SAT, Piknic, Pearl & co, the crew – namely Fu Ancko, Joystick, Kasteniede, Kressel, Le Boucher, Mixar, Mono-poly, Sequential Factory and Yan Leigh – have also delivered international heavyweights the likes of Seth Troxler and Alexi Delano to fervid tech heads in the greater Montreal area.

This unassuming bunch has also been shaping and shifting the city’s digital scene with its fresh take on graphics and the inventive visuals that accompany their perfor-mances: video installations, motion graphics, real-time crowd feedback and responsive environments. More recently, they’ve delved into producing original content on their sophisticated signature label Eresys Recording, allowing them to further promote their artists’ tech-melded sounds on both a local and international level.

Whether they’re dropping techno, tech-house or minimal beats to get the crowd on its feet, Eresys have a slew of live stints, productions and partnerships lined up that should keep us all talking and moving for quite some time.
